Like ALL other so called "helpful" organizations in Minnesota that we've encountered trying to get my friend protected from negligent and maltreatment and get her connected to adequate appropriate health services and community resources BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE refused to advise and support them for three years. Then in crisis refused to allow them to speak and therefore eliminated all possibility of serving them and even degraded them further by telling them they at fault for all suffering just because they refused to be ignored in seeking help and refused to have the fact that they are being victimized ignored BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE gave them the same racist and discriminating response all of them have. Which is basically if I have to acknowledge you exist and have not been served YOU'RE AT FAULT GO AWAY, without any facts or useful information exchanged. That is always the best result of people of color acting as if they matter when pursuing resources or inclusion in Minnesota's abundant medical and life resources, the worst response is vicious retaliation which is what my friend is victim of currently by Human Services. No one is serving her.

I attended an event earlier this year wondering if this organization would be helpful in assisting a person with brain injury. We signed up for their contact sheet, talked to a high end manager, explored the story. We never received a response. It felt dismissive. The last target market of people to dismiss are those who would benefit the most. It just confirms our previous conclusion that even though these events are entertaining and informative, they did nothing to assist us.

Gr8

This organization is a waste and a farce, they aren't serving people with Brain Injury, they are serving the people THEY WANT TO SERVE with brain injury. If you want to know how Human Services uses it's resources go to Glassdoor online and put in Minnesota Department of Human Services, when you see how discriminative and negligently they treat employees it's eaiser to understand how negligent and pro-discrimination they are underserving vulnerable people.

Meanwhile, fox 9 news highlights two stories of white females whose BRAIN INJURIES and physical disabilities and support exclusion DO NOT even begin to compare with that of my friends and how the BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE resources and support are aiding these courageous caucasians in rehabilitation at the same time being attacked and degraded for seeking resources and support for rehabilitation... and everyone but my friend sleep well in their privilege at night.

So good

Discriminating degrading organization that pick and choose who to serve. They refused to assist a friend of mine who is physically disabled and has a brain injury and a person of color for three Years. Kept forwarding her contacts to a the voicemail named Mai (prounouned MAY) who rarely returned calls let alone listen or provide direction to my friend. Now my friend is in very bad condition from not getting connected in the community and the Human Service department whose required to deliver services and help them stay connected in the community never has and the state is saving money ignoring reports of this because that Human Service department is simply a regional division of the state, which is to say, they are in it together, the neglect and abuse my friend has experienced four years by that Human Service division. So my friend reached out to Brain Injury Alliance again several times in the last 2 weeks saying someone besides Mai should communicate with her and a woman named Christine, clearly not of color, by how she spoke to and tried to be in control of the conversation with my friend, first gave my friends private data to the very agency my friend reported has been criminal and not done what they are legally required to do for her, than called my friend told her how she is responsible for physical injury, that it's her fault she's a victim of neglect abuse and crime, offered no useful information and refused to even allow my friend to state what has and is happening to her, what she has or has not tried. This woman had NEVER talked to my friend. She has NO IDEA what's happened with or to her, and when my friend asked her why she called if she was not going to allow my friend to speak Christine told her "She solving my friends problems because my friend is incompetent of speech." As if this woman is GOD able to fix problems that have not be told to her. My friend is extremely articulate and intelligent, and honest BTW, she's just not white.
