What happened to customer service? I went in to buy a Ring Doorbell system for my home. There was nobody in the connected home area so I waited for a while. A guy came over didn’t know anything so he paged someone named Matt to come assist. I waited around for another 5 minutes, while I watched numerous staff members just stand around and talk amongst themselves. I simply wanted to know the difference between the 3 price points. Nobody came. I guess I will go buy it from target. The main reason I came to Best Buy first is because I assumed they would be the experts to really help me understand the product but I was wrong. My advice, is to better train the staff and put people in departments who actually have an idea about the products the store is selling.
Love this store! Great customer service, great knowledgeable employees, clean and friendly. You can't beat a company that price matches and has a rewards program!
Weird accusatory service when returning an item with a gift receipt. The lady STATED "you opened it" (didn't ask; stated it) and I was just like... no, I literally just got this as a gift and want to return it, it's not what I wanted. None of the security tape/tabs are ripped or open. She continued to inspect the perfectly packaged product with skepticism, then she clearly told employees to shadow me while I was shopping. I've worked retail. It's obvious. Ridiculous, unwarranted, and offensive as hell. Sucks that I'm stuck with a Best Buy gift card now.
Update 10-26-17: The customer service is going downhill rapidly the last 3 times I was in there. I actually left after 20 minutes of walking around looking for help and found no one available. Today looked for over 10 minutes for help, almost left without purchasing a lot of stuff I was there to get!
Excellent customer service! If I go anywhere for electronics that is not Amazon, it's best buy. They are always helpful and the staff is knowledgeable. Needed an adapter for my Mac today and the employee took the time to look up the model I had to make sure the adapter port was accessible on my year. Thanks guys you rock!
I had a very disappointing experience at this Best Buy today. I was looking to buy a PS4 game and asked customer service if they would price match an Amazon price. The customer service person confirmed they would after looking at the price I had pulled up on the Amazon app (it was sold and shipped by Amazon). He told me to go to the checkout and they would honor it. I proceeded to the checkout, where there was a decently long line. There was only one person checking customers out. Numerous employees wandered by the cash registers, yet no one came to help the checkout process. Finally a second person came to help. She told me that she could not honor the price as it was out of stock on Amazon. If that is the rule, that is fine, but they need to be on the same page as their customer service staff (customer service saw that it was out of stock as well when I pulled the price up on the app). Anyway, I went over to Target and they were happy to honor the out of stock price. (Amazon also was happy to honor it when it was back in stock as well, I already had an order in with them at that price). Anyway, I will be happy to shop at Target any and every time moving forward!
